What Type of Education Do You Need to Become a Coroner?
Because of the broad range of specialties that feed into this job, there are actually a number of career paths you can take in order to become a coroner. In many instances, coroners are certified doctors, barristers, or solicitors with industry-specific training in the field. However, it is also possible to enter this career with a bachelor's degree in biological science, forensic science, criminology, or anatomy. Some advertised positions do not even require a full four-year diploma, suggesting that an associate's degree might suffice in certain situations.
